I used to own a Mio C310x but decided to upgrade to the Mio C 520 for all the extra features and new interface. I really love it. The new interface still isn’t the easiest to use but the customization is great. If you want simple go with Garmin but you’ll get more out of the Mio interface if you spend the extra time figuring it all out. Something the C310x had but the C520 doesn’t is a 3.5mm headphone jack which is strange.
The Mio Digiwalker C 520 uses a smaller 2.5mm jack which is similar to most cellphones. Also I found the speed warning option wasn’t working. Looks like you gotta keep watching your speed by yourself. I guess it can’t do everything for you. As far as performance goes it has improved routing algorithms it seems and the SiRFstarIII chipset works amazing, I haven’t lost a signal yet.
